MedPrint,MedFax, and MedEmail
Automated Document Distribution

HTI's MedPrint, MedFax, and MedEmail allow flexibility in document distribution methods using MediScribe.NET®. Users select a preferred distribution method for each physician and for each document type and status.

Key benefits of MedPrintTM, MedFaxTM, and MedEmailTM include the following:

  • User-defined report distribution logic allows for transcribed reports to be filtered and distributed based on a variety of criteria, including events (e.g., signed reports), time (e.g., print all outpatient procedure reports at 6:00 A.M.), facility, patient type,

MedPrintTM

MedPrintTM allows users to define, administer, and customize any and all print processes - whether for the original chart or floor print, doctor's copies, or other special requirements. Key features of MedPrintTM include the following:

  • Physician's choice of distribution method; distribution can be restricted based on report type
  • Distribution can be restricted based on report type, site, department, patient type and additional variables
  • Reports can be automatically printed to the floors or to virtually any printer defined on the network
  • Printing restarts (in the event of malfunctions) are easy to initiate and flexible. MediScribe.NET will maintain information on prior jobs for each print process defined
  • A local backup printer can be defined in the event the target printer is off-line or malfunctioning
  • Logs can be printed to a local (and/or remote) printer - useful for administering remote print jobs
MedFaxTM

MedFaxTM provides a convenient means to distribute reports by fax to clinicians and providers who would prefer fax in place of or in addition to the paper copies of reports. MedFaxTM includes options to "batch" or "stat" fax as appropriate with no additional software costs. Key features of MedFaxTM include the following:

  • Automated distribution allows faxing throughout the day
  • Uses standard US Robotics fax/modems (or compatible)
  • Does not require proprietary fax-server
  • Supports up to 64 modems on a single server
  • Flexibility to create customized fax cover sheets.
  • Automatic fax redial plus user-initiated retries assures document distribution
  • Faxing restarts (in the event of malfunctions) are easy to initiate and flexible.
MedEmailTM

MedEmailTM provides a secure alternative to the more traditional report distribution alternatives of printing and/or faxing reports. MedEmail sends a single email to the recipient notifying the physician that reports are ready for review and providing a link back to the system that allows password-protected, secure access to the reports via Internet Explorer, Netscape, or Firefox. Key features of MedEmailTM include the following:

  • Minimizes paper, toner, and other disposable costs in transcription
  • Minimizes labor costs to sort and manually distribute paper copies
  • Improves turnaround time
  • Provides an electronic copy of the report that can allow importing notes and reports into outlying physician systems.
  • Provides the utmost in security - reports are not transmitted as attachments to emails
  • Quality of the print of the reports at the receiving end is superior to fax
  • Utilizes most Email systems - including Groupwise and Microsoft Outlook
  • Compatible with any email client
  • Integrates with SecureTrac for extensive logging and audit trails
